Our History
In 2012, The Poise Boutique, Inc. was founded in the Cary-Research Triangle Area. The founding principles aligned with the creation of a safe space for young girls. Within this single positive environment, these girls could have direct access to several life-changing services. Our Founder, Tetnika Marie Williamson, was always passionate about paving the way for young girls who needed a guiding light to help them see the bright potential for their future.
In 2015, Tetnika saw a desperate need to provide life skill services to boys as well. She struggled to transform this already successful youth business into a prosperous coed operation. This hardship stemmed from her love of the original, feminine touch The Poise Boutique, Inc. exuded.
However, in 2019 after relocating to the Charlotte, NC area, we converted our name from The Poise Boutique, Inc. to Poise & Co. Inc. The full representation of both our male and female clients was our top priority throughout this transition. Poise & Co. Inc has progressed to become a household name that serves hundreds of clients through various community initiatives and youth programming. In 2020, we reached our newest milestone of expanding our highly-effective services and programming to adults.
Due to the recent demand and growth of our business, we’ve successfully separated our services into two entities that work towards the same overall goal – to help the individuals within our community who need us most. We are now more capable than ever to better serve our clients & our community.
